Reveal Beautiful, Even Skin

It combines collagen biostimulation and fibrous septum detachment for the recovery of skin depressions, that is, it immediately combats the famous cellulite holes!

Cellulite treatment in Bellevue is performed without hospitalization, with local anesthesia, patient standing, and has a reduced recovery time. You can drive yourself to and from the office without any assistance.

What Causes Cellulite?

Cellulite dimpling is caused by tight fibrous bands beneath the skin (fibrous septa) that pull the skin surface downward while surrounding tissue pushes upward. This creates the uneven, puckered appearance commonly seen on the buttocks and thighs.

Topical creams and surface level energy treatments cannot release these structural attachments. Goldincision treats the problem at its source.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Cellulite Treatment?

GoldIncision works best for patients who:

  • Have cellulite dimpling caused by fibrous bands — not loose skin alone
  • Understand that results develop gradually over several months
  • Are willing to complete staged treatment as recommended
  • Have realistic expectations about improvement rather than perfection

You may not be an ideal candidate if you expect instant results from a single session, are not willing to complete staged treatment, have significant loose skin without underlying fibrous bands, or cannot follow post-procedure instructions.

How is Goldincision Different From Cellfina or Laser Cellulite Treatments?

Skin tightening treatments (radiofrequency, ultrasound, laser) work on the surface — they heat or firm the outer skin layer but cannot release the fibrous bands pulling it downward.

Cellfina is another subcision-based cellulite treatment. GoldIncision combines subcision (fibrous band release) with immediate biostimulation using collagen-stimulating fillers, which is designed to improve both structure and tissue quality. Dr. Marosan will discuss which approach may be appropriate for you during your consultation.

For Out-of-Town Patients Interested in Cellulite Treatment

Patients traveling from outside the Seattle/Bellevue area are welcome at Bellevue Plastic Surgeons. Virtual consultations are available — after the consultation fee is paid, patients receive instructions on submitting photos and scheduling their video visit.

Because GoldIncision involves swelling, bruising, and early healing changes, out-of-town patients should plan to remain locally for a minimum of three days after the procedure. This allows time for:

  • Post-procedure evaluation
  • Management of early swelling or bruising
  • Additional care if needed

In some cases a longer stay may be recommended. Travel plans should not be finalized until after consultation and scheduling confirmation.

Frequently Asked
Questions

What is GoldIncision?

GoldIncision is an innovative treatment for cellulite that targets the fibrous adhesions responsible for the dimpled appearance commonly seen on the buttocks and thighs. The procedure involves detaching these adhesions and immediately biostimulating the area with collagen boosting fillers such as Radiesse or Bellafill.

How does the procedure work?

Dr. Marosan uses a specialized technique to release the fibrous bands causing the skin dimpling. Once the adhesions are broken, biostimulatory fillers are injected to improve skin smoothness, thickness and collagen production.

How is the procedure performed?

GoldIncision is done in our office, awake and under local anesthesia only.

How many treatments are needed?

Most patients require two treatments, spaced 3 to 6 months apart. The number of sessions may vary depending on the area treated and the severity of the cellulite.

As a general guide:

  • Buttocks — typically 2, sometimes 3 sessions
  • Thighs — typically 3 to 5 sessions depending on severity

A precise treatment plan is determined during your consultation with Dr. Marosan.

What areas can be treated?

Common treatment zones include buttocks and thighs. Each is considered a separate area. Unless a secondary area is very small, procedures are performed on one area at a time.

How many sessions are typically needed per area?

Buttocks – Typically require two, sometimes three sessions.

Thighs – Usually need 3-5 treatments, depending on the severity of the cellulite.

What is the cost of treatment?

Pricing generally starts at $10,000-12,000, which includes the initial treatment and a follow-up session at 3 or 6 months. Additional sessions, if needed, may incur extra charges.

*Because GoldIncision requires extended procedure time and specialized medical supplies, a deposit is required to reserve your appointment. Scheduling policies are reviewed before booking.

*Follow-up treatments are typically recommended within a specific time frame to achieve the best possible result.

What is the recovery process?

After GoldIncision, normal post-procedure changes include:

  • Swelling and bruising
  • Firmness and soreness
  • Temporary unevenness or asymmetry
  • Areas that may appear worse before they improve

These changes are expected and temporary. They occur because the fibrous bands have been released and the tissue is actively remodeling. Final results typically take several months to fully develop.

What is the recovery process?

Yes. Because every patient has different anatomy, the treatment plan, number of sessions, and cost must be determined individually. Virtual consultations are available for out-of-town patients.

Any additional or medically specific questions require a consultation with Dr. Marosan.

*Consultation fee is $100, applied towards the cost of the procedure if booked.

*Out-of-town patients. We offer virtual consultations for these patients. After the consultation fee is paid, patients will receive instructions on how to submit photos and schedule their video consultation.

What are the risks and side effects?

As with any procedure, GoldIncision carries potential risks. Possible side effects include:

  • Swelling, bruising, and soreness
  • Temporary firmness, unevenness, or asymmetry
  • Seroma or hematoma
  • Infection
  • Incomplete correction
  • Recurrence of dimpling over time

These may occur even when the procedure is performed correctly. Multiple treatment sessions are common and are not considered a complication. Dr. Marosan will review all risks with you during your consultation.
