Brazilian Buttock Lift is the most common procedure done by Dr. Marosan at Bellevue Plastic Surgeons. His expertise in this procedure is unmatched by any other plastic surgeon in the Seattle-Bellevue area. Men and women alike can achieve envy-inducing buttock shape through a Brazilian butt lift, which transfers a patient’s own fat into the buttocks. Dr. Marosan uses the VASER liposuction technique to remove fat from all areas of the body with abundant fat, gently purify it and then inject it into the buttocks. Not only does Dr. Marosan focus on the buttocks, but also the surrounding areas to get a better-looking result. He will sculpt the hips, abdomen, back, waist, anterior and lateral chest wall, arms and thighs as needed to complete the look so that the outcome is proportionate and beautiful. This is not only a highly technical operation, but the surgeon has to have an aesthetic eye to recognize and understand the beautiful normal so he/she can recreate it.
The body will first be initially evaluated to make sure that the patient is a good candidate for the Brazilian butt lift procedure. It will also be assessed as to which areas will be liposuctioned. Depending on the amount of fat necessary to fill and shape the buttocks, multiple donor sites on the body are considered. After liposuction has been performed, a closed sterile system is used for collecting the fat tissue and is minimally exposed to the air. This keeps it safe and purified for re-injection into the buttocks. In the operating suite, Dr. Marosan uses a triple- antibiotic solution wash for the fat. The fat is minimally processed, removal of excess fluid, oils and fibrous bands to end up with the best quality of injectable fat. The fat is injected into the deep fat and superficial fat of the buttocks for shaping and enhancement. The fat injection is done after the body sculpting is finished on the abdomen, lateral chest wall, anterior waist and hips, and it is injected as soon as the patient is positioned in the prone position to minimize the time that the fat sits outside the body. Similarly, the back, waist, hips are sculpted and the additional prepared fat is injected. This creates a round heart shaped buttock with an hourglass figure. This is a most desired feminine shape which exudes youth, health, fertility and sexiness.
Brazilian Butt Lift Reviews
"Brazilian Butt lift and Lipo Revision - I had a botched lipo job from another doctor that left me disfigured. For almost 3 years I was devastated. I couldn't wear anything above knee length and my sex life was ruined because my self-esteem was destroyed. I did research on lipo revision extensively and was so glad I've found Dr. Marosan. He fixed not only the other doctor's mistakes but also the result was beyond my expectation. He added curves to my petite body. Now I have big curvy hips, big booty and small waists :D. He is a very knowledgeable, exceptional surgeon and truly the best in his field. He had trained with the top pioneers/ surgeons in the world to specialize each procedure. His entire staff is the best as well. I had excellent care before, during, and after the surgery. Thank you Dr. Marosan for giving me confidence back and a new beautiful body!"- Anonymous / Vitals / Oct 19, 2016
"Beautiful, Natural Results! - Dr. Marosan did a beautiful job on my brazilian butt lift. I could not be happier. The areas he liposuctioned tightened up very well and my butt and hips are the perfect size for my 5'10" frame. I've always had an hourglass figure and he accentuated it perfectly. My stomach is now super flat and my thighs are thinner so all my dresses and leggings look better than ever on me. He is very..."- S. / RealSelf / Dec 22, 2018
"Tummy Tuck, Brazilian Butt Lift and Lipo by Dr. Marosan - It’s been over 4 months since my triple-surgery. I’ve been enjoying tight little dresses, leggings, bikinis and short skirts like a teenager! Dr Marosan did a great job and I recommend him and his team to those who are considering cosmetic surgery. I would send my family to him. It took me 9 years of hesitation and mistrust interviewing various physicians before I finally met Dr. Marosan and moved forward with the surgery! The primary reason I chose Dr. Marosan over other physicians was that he places his tummy tuck incisions low. No other doctor gave me that option. My scar is WAY below the bikini line and is touching my pubic zone. Other moms that I know who had it done have their scars higher than mine. Also, Tummy Tuck is a major surgery. You want to make sure you are in good hands. Dr. Marosan and his team did an excellent job taking care of me. I received courtesy from the day one and support and compassion throughout the recovery -- emails, courtesy phone calls, multitude post-op visits. Dani, Lauri, Sarah and Dr. George were super nice. I’m very pleased with the overall service that I’ve received!"- T. / RealSelf / Feb 19, 2020
This surgery is considered an outpatient procedure and intravenous sedation is used with the tumescent technique. The surgery lasts an average of 4-6 hours depending on the areas to be sculpted by Dr. Marosan. After surgery, you will be placed into a compression garment to help with the swelling and also assist in the contouring of the buttocks and sculpted areas. Drains are used both anteriorly and in the back to prevent fluid being trapped under the skin and created unwanted deformities. Most surgeons close these incisions and the end result is compromised. Patients are advised not to put weight on the butt area for the first 10-14 days following surgery. Sitting or laying down must be done with the weight mostly on the thighs by using a small pillow. Final results, after the swelling has subsided, usually can be seen within 3-6 months on average.
Brazilian Butt Lift FAQs
When done correctly, the result of a Brazilian butt lift should look and feel natural. It is very important for those who are considering this procedure to find a plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques to achieve the best possible natural results with this type of surgery. There are a lot of clinics and surgeons who use the term "body sculpting" loosely, but they are not able to deliver the sculpting part and or the buttock shaping to look natural. Most do fat removal or debulking liposuction only. This is a very technique dependent procedure and the surgeon needs to understand the beautiful normal and be able to deliver it to the patient.
Natural or Synthetic?
Many patients opt for fat transfers because they feel it is more safe and natural. For some, they are simply not comfortable with implants or a foreign device placed in their buttocks. When choosing whether to go natural or with implants, it’s important to understand the pros and cons to each. Implants are not a permanent solution so patients will need to consider the long-term effects of surgery carefully. Fat is a permanent solution for a BBL, but some of the injected fat will not survive.
Multiple Donor Sites?
Multiple donor sites for the fat grafting may include the upper lower backside, abdomen, love handles, waist, lateral chest wall, arms and the thighs. Liposuction done in these areas helps contour the surrounding areas of the buttocks, which results in an hourglass silhouette. It is almost more important to liposuction the surrounding areas bordering the buttocks than the fat injection by themselves. A poorly contoured torso detracts from the results greatly. Unfortunately, I see an increasing number of patients for a secondary BBL procedure, and where the first surgeon failed, is almost always in their inability of sculpting the patient's body. Again, one must recognize the beautiful normal before he/she can create it!
What If I Gain Weight?
The ideal candidates for this procedure are those who are at or very close to their ideal body weight. A BMI of 22-28 is ideal, with a BMI of 30 being the maximum. Both significant weight gain or loss will compromise the results of the surgery, but you will maintain your shape. Patients who have had this procedure should stick to a healthy lifestyle with proper diet and exercise.
