Surgical Technique
The body will first be initially evaluated to make sure that the patient is a good candidate for the BBL surgery in Bellevue. It will also be assessed as to which areas will be liposuctioned. Depending on the amount of fat necessary to fill and shape the buttocks, multiple donor sites on the body are considered. After liposuction has been performed, a closed sterile system is used for collecting the fat tissue and is minimally exposed to the air. In the operating suite, Dr. Marosan uses a triple- antibiotic solution wash for the fat. The fat is minimally processed, removal of excess fluid, oils and fibrous bands to end up with the best quality of injectable fat. The fat injection is done after the body sculpting is finished on the abdomen, lateral chest wall, anterior waist and hips, and it is injected as soon as the patient is positioned in the prone position to minimize the time that the fat sits outside the body. During/After Surgery
